For my first recipe, I'm going to use one that I saw on TikTok. Her username is nutritionalsarah if you want to check out some of her other recipes!
For this you'll need:
3 chicken breasts (frozen or thawed)
1/2 white onion, chopped
1 lb elbow pasta
4 cups chicken broth
3/4 cup half and half
cheese (I used the Private Selection brand 3 cheese blend with parmesan, asiago, and provolone)
Put the chicken breasts into your instant pot and season with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, Paprika (I used smoked paprika), and cayenne. Measure until your ancestors tell you to stop, and then add a little extra. I found that mine was a little less seasoned than I would have liked when I stopped. Then you'll add your chicken broth, onion, garlic, and pasta. Cook on manual pressure for 7 minutes (10 if the chicken was frozen). Manually release pressure and pull the chicken out to shred. Put the shredded chicken back into the pot and pour in the half and half. Add cheese to your flavor preference. Stir everything back together. I served with smoked paprika and a sprinkle of extra cheese along with some garlic bread.
T and I cook together a lot and we love to try new recipes. I'll be honest with you, I've tried several recipes from nutritionalsarah, and she crushes it every single time. She's got a cookbook if you would be interested in it! Just take a visit to her TikTok page. She also talks a lot about her degree and being a dietetic intern, which is super cool because I'm personally learning to trust my body to tell me I'm hungry again, thanks in large part to her. I've done a lot of yo-yo diets, restrictive diets, cutting calories, cutting carbs, intermittent fasting, etc. and truly nothing ever worked. I started intuitive eating (and as she says in her videos all the time, in any other part of the world it's just called eating), and I've already lost some weight and I feel full and fulfilled every single meal. Hope you enjoy this one!
