Breakfast Pizza Bagel

Remember those breakfast pizza bagels from school? They were my favorite and here ya go.



Ingredients:

Bagel

sausage

country gravy

mozzarella cheese


To Make:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Cook your sausage and break it up into smaller pieces. Make your country gravy, I got lazy for this and just used a packet from Kroger, but if there's enough interest in this, I know how to make country gravy from scratch and can share it later. Mix the sausage and country gravy together and top each half of your bagel with this. Top the bagel with mozzarella cheese as well. Bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes. Watch it because depending on your oven this could even be too long. You're wanting to melt the cheese and lightly toast the bottom of the bagel. Enjoy!


Story:

So the other day I saw a friend post on Facebook that she had made these, and instead of reading her comments that told me exactly how to make this, I decided to try some things myself and make it. It ended up that I used the same ingredients as she did, but she used an air fryer, and I don't have an air fryer so I used my oven. I used to love these when I was in school, so I'm literally so excited that I saw her post and decided to try this. It's also a good breakfast when you want something filling, but don't really want to spend a lot of time making it. Make the sausage gravy ahead of time, keep some shredded mozzarella cheese on hand (I ALWAYS have mozzarella cheese in my fridge), and top a bagel and heat it up. If I'm feeling super lazy, I don't even wait for the oven to preheat, I just pop it in when I turn the oven on and check it. These are really great for making before work and having something easy to eat while you're getting ready. I'm super excited for this.
